When it comes to our bodies, our minds, and relati

When it comes to our bodies, our minds, and relationships, there will always be things beyond our control. The illusion of control actually leads us away from our true nature as humans. We cannot control any aspect of the world. But, the one thing within our control is the ability to find the place of love in our hearts for everything. The energy of love is the most powerful force in the Universe, and the most powerful energy for bringing us into harmony with ourselves and our environment. It’s our natural state that we are always trying to return to. But, to get there, we have to let go of the ways we thought life would turn out, our plans, and our attempts to control ourselves and others. When we surrender to this state we are able to overcome anything, or to reside in peace when we cannot overcome it.

We are not fixed beings. Clinging to ideas of who

We are not fixed beings. Clinging to ideas of who we are creates stagnation in our soul. Our souls must be free to grow and expand, to change, and to evolve. We must also learn to speak our truth, not just to others, which is easy, but to ourselves.

Believing everything we think we know is blindness

Believing everything we think we know is blindness. Understand that you will never understand! The one thing we need to know is that the world around us and inside us is not dependent on us being right, or dependent on us comprehending it. We are just part of the Universe, and it’s not possible for us to know everything. Read that again if you have to. It’s not possible. Our brains are simply not made to understand everything. Even at this moment, common knowledge is wrong about so many things, yet we feel so right. This is how blindness works—we think we know, but we don’t. If you ever stop laughing at the great mystery of it all, you will know you’ve gone astray. Better to just revel in the confounding uncertainty of it all 💫

Without fail, we teach others what we need to lear

Without fail, we teach others what we need to learn ourselves. In the case of writers, they write what they have already learned but which they don’t yet fully know in their hearts. The process of teaching and writing is part of the healing process. When we recognize this quality in ourselves and in those who we go to for wisdom, we can listen and learn about each other’s journeys, without questioning the validity of each others experiences.

Meet: @hamid.jabbar

We are delighted to have @hamid.jabbar as part of this epic trio for our next #WalterYoga experience. Between his infectious energy and that captivating smile (SUCH a great smile, right??), you’ll see why we’re SO happy to have him with us.

Hamid has been working with sound and music for over 20 years, primarily as a teacher. His teachings blend Eastern Philosophical, Shamanic Societal, and Western Scientific wisdoms in a multidisciplinary approach. With a Bachelor of Music from NYU, and a JD from UCLA School of Law (Former Music, Art Lawyer), he blends his technical trainings and knowledge, with his pure passion and devotion to music.

He is the creator for Arizona’s only Sound Practitioner Training program, with over 70 graduates who now facilitate Sound Meditations, Sound Baths, and Sound Therapy sessions around the country. He also created the Sound Meditation program and format for Current Meditation (www.becurrent.com). He is a regular facilitator of trainings, workshops and ceremonial events in U.S., Mexico, Peru and Bali.
